We strive to make RedeemerKIDS a place that is Christ-exalting, child-engaging, creative, and really fun!
Christ-Exalting: Whether it’s praying for and singing with our babies, teaching our toddlers big truths about God, or teaching our oldest kids how to see Christ throughout the entire Bible, we are passionate about teaching our kids about Jesus. We also work hard to make the environment Christ-exalting by the ways we relate to one another. We want to model encouragement and quick repentance as we serve.
Child-Engaging: We believe children are a blessing, and we don’t want to miss out on the precious time we have with them. RedeemerKIDS is more than a place where kids just hang out with adult supervision. RedeemerKIDS volunteers are encouraged to get on a kid’s level, interact with and build relationships with them. Our classrooms and lessons are designed for children at their specific developmental levels.
Creative: Each volunteer and child is created and gifted differently, and we love that! We want to empower our volunteers to use their diverse gifts as they serve a diverse group of kids. We love having teachers with a variety of teaching styles and activities reach all the kids in our care.
Fun: Kids learn through having fun, and we want them to joyfully learn about Jesus. We hope that kids are excited to come to RedeemerKIDS and eager to tell their parents about their time in RedeemerKIDS on the way home. We are committed to work hard to make this happen!
We have children’s ministry from birth to 5th grade during the 9 am, 11 am, and 5 pm services. Parents are also welcome to keep their children with them for the duration of the service. Parents should check in their children before each service begins at the RedeemerKIDS desk on the second floor or on the first floor for elementary kids. There is a room for nursing mothers beyond the kids check in on the second floor. Audio from the sanctuary is provided in this room.
Johnson County Congregation:
Children’s ministry is available from birth to 5th grade at the 10am service. Parents are also welcome to keep their children with them for the duration of the service. The RedeemerKIDS desk is in the Entryway. There are rooms for nursing mothers on either side of the Sanctuary.
At both congregations, each parent will receive a security tag as well as a name tag with their child’s name, information, and assigned classroom. Parents are required to keep their portion of the security tag so they can enter the children’s ministry area and to pick up their kids.
We encourage children older than three years join their parents for the singing and prayer time at the beginning of the service. Parents are welcome to bring their children to their classrooms during the offering portion of the service.
