Kris McGee

My primary responsibilities are to invest in leaders and to create space for the care of our people to happen. My focus is on our counseling systems and member care. I spend most of my day meeting with people either to help them individually apply the truth of the Gospel to their lives or to help them care for the people in their lives.

Adrienne and I met in high school and were married four years later in March of 1999. We have two kids: Elisabeth (born in 2004) and Lucas (born in 2006).

Growing up in a military family, I moved around a lot, but I call Moore, Oklahoma home.

Favorite book(s) outside the Bible

  • Cross Centered Life by C.J. Mahaney. The simplicity of this book was engaging and helped open my eyes to the centrality of the Gospel.
  • Desiring God by John Piper rocked my world and showed me how man-centered my view of God and obedience were.
  • A Lasting Promise by Scott Stanley was instrumental in saving my marriage in our first year.
  • Peacemaker by Ken Sande helped me understand that conflict comes when desires of the heart become idols.
  • Hobbies/interests
I like working with my hands, so I actually enjoy home repairs and working in the yard.
