What is your job?
I am a Staff Worship Leader at Redeemer.
What are your responsibilities?
I am responsible for regularly leading worship on Sundays at both Redeemer congregations, as well as serving as a member of the worship leadership team, and working to build and strengthen the worship culture at Redeemer Fellowship under Ron’s leadership. Together, we’re dreaming about and working toward the betterment of our worship culture, processes, and developmental strategies.
I’ve been married to my wife Lauren since December of 2013.
Where are you from?
I grew up in Lee’s Summit, MO and graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 2009. After graduating I moved to Columbia to grab a business degree from the University of Missouri. I spent every summer of college in Austin, TX, living at my Uncle’s house and falling in love with everything that city had to offer. Lauren and I both fell in love with Austin, and when offered an inside sales position the summer after I graduated college (2013) we moved there to start our life together. I participated in the Worship Pastor Residency Program at the Austin Stone Community Church from 2014 – 2016, until the Lord introduced me to Ron and we eventually moved back up to our hometown of KC, MO.
Education and Experience?
I began leading worship my 9th grade year at Lee’s Summit Community Church, graduated from LSHS in 2009, then I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management in the Spring of 2013. Then, I graduated from the Worship Residency Program at the Austin Stone Community Church the Spring of 2016.
How long have you been at Redeemer?
My wife and I would always come to Redeemer any time we were home, during my college years and post grad years in Austin. I’ve come to Redeemer once or twice a year since 2011 I’d say, but have been attending here regularly since July of 2016.
What hobbies/interests outside of work?
I love listening to vinyl at home, spending time talking with and studying with Lauren at coffee shops, playing golf, playing music, and hitting up shows in downtown KC! Austin, TX will always be our favorite vacation spot as well.
