Redeemer Fellowship takes the issue of church membership seriously. Members function as the primary missionaries for the church to the culture. Members interact with the culture of Kansas City every day, positioned in it to live out the Gospel in word and deed. We are called corporately to love our God and our neighbors, and membership keeps us accountable as we do that.
Membership is not a status symbol or social club. Members who enter into a covenant with their local church are called to a higher degree of responsibility. Conversely, the elders covenant to give members priority in assistance with counsel, service, and aid through praying, teaching and guiding as necessary.
To transition from a regular attender to an official member of Redeemer, you must complete Redeemer DNA, which will give you an overview of Christian essentials and the our core values and vision of our church. This is an 8-9 week commitment with doctrinal explorations of: the Scriptures, God, Creation, Sin, Salvation, the Missional Church, Stewardship and Spiritual Gifts. Redeemer DNA is required for church membership. Whether you became a Christian yesterday or have a Masters in Divinity, there are no exceptions.
Sign-up for our Spring 2012 session of DNA is closed. Keep an eye on the Seed for information on future classes.
