Jesus calls his followers to give their lives in service to others, to take the gospel to the ends of the earth, and to make disciples. Whether you have spent your whole life in church or are just beginning to investigate the claims of Jesus, there is a place for you to serve here and get involved in our city.
We are working to Advance the Mission of God in four primary ways.
If you’ve ever been to a service at Redeemer, you have been served by the hundreds of volunteers that give of their time each week to facilitate our Sunday gatherings. From coffee to parking to RedeemerKIDS, to ongoing needs such as groundskeeping, office work, and even the website you’re browsing right now, we rely on teams of generous volunteers to facilitate our ministry at Redeemer.

The mission of our church is to cultivate communities of transformed disciples who live for the glory of God and the good of the city. In response to the gospel, our people are sent out on mission throughout the Metro area to live their lives for the benefit of others.
Our formal Community Development initiatives in Midtown include Sports Clinics, Neighborhood and School Partnerships, and an annual event called Affordable Christmas.
Our God is a Missionary God—he sent his son Jesus into the world to meet our deepest need at the cross. Likewise, Christians are a sent people: we are commissioned to go into all the world and announce the all satisfying, self-sacrificing love of God.
Our formal international partnerships are primarily through church-planting efforts in the Middle East.
In addition to working in Kansas City to see the community develop, thrive, and prosper, we are involved with community development efforts through an Children’s Village in Gonaïves, Haiti. Our vision for Haiti is to see relationships developed with the children and leaders and for God to use these relationships to raise up these boys and girls into men and women who love Jesus, love Haiti, and work to see their community restored and renewed.
