haiti relief

Dear Redeemer Family,

The recent devastation in Haiti has been heartbreaking. In times like these, though we don’t have a lot of answers about “why”, we can rest in a sovereign God who wills and uses everything according to his purposes. We are exploring how we can most strategically participate in the relief efforts for the glory of God and for the good of Haiti (and the watching world). We hope to use this page to give you some ideas of how to get involved.

One of the ways we can help the people of Haiti look to God for help is for the church worldwide to give sacrificially to meet immediate physical needs. As a church we want to be a part of the relief effort. The congregation of Redeemer Fellowship collected an offering totaling $22,600 on January 17th, which was given to Global Orphan Project, a Kansas City-based ministry that has people on the ground in Haiti and is aware of the most strategic way to use the funds.

We would urge you to pray for the people of Haiti and the relief workers, and to continue to look for ways to give sacrificially toward relief for the people of Haiti.

See this page for updates from Jimmy Dodd, one of our people who has spent a lot of time in Haiti. It will show you opportunities where you can help.

Your Pastors,

Kevin, Kris, Steve & Wes
