Responsibilities
Kris’ primary responsibility is community development, which means investing in leaders and creating pathways for people to engage relationally with one another. He also preaches occasionally and helps oversee the staff, counseling, and general administration.

Family
Adrienne and I met in high school and were married four years later in March of 1999. We have two kids: Elisabeth (born in 2004) and Lucas (born in 2006).

Hometown
Growing up in a military family, I moved around a lot, but I call Moore, Oklahoma home.

Education & Experience
B.A. Wheaton College, Bible and Theology
Th.M. Dallas Theological Seminary, Pastoral Counseling

Favorite music
I have pretty simple tastes so I can listen to lots of kinds of music.

Favorite book(s) outside the Bible

  • Cross Centered Life by C.J. Mahaney. The simplicity of this book was engaging and helped open my eyes to the centrality of the Gospel.
  • Desiring God by John Piper rocked my world and showed me how man-centered my view of God and obedience were.
  • A Lasting Promise by Scott Stanley was instrumental in saving my marriage in our first year.
  • Peacemaker by Ken Sande helped me understand that conflict comes when desires of the heart become idols.
  • Hobbies/interests
I like working with my hands, so I actually enjoy home repairs and working in the yard.
