Andy Bean // communications coordinator
Andy is a life-long resident of Kansas City. He graduated from the University of Missouri - Kansas City in 2008, and after graduation was married to his wife, Ashley, who he met in college. In 2007 Andy had the opportunity to travel to Asia where God began to develop a passion to see the gospel taken to every people and nation. In January of 2010 he came on staff at Redeemer and is excited to see how God is working through the Church to proclaim the message of Jesus to the city, the country, and the world.
Jared Crabtree // pastoral assistant
Jared is a lifetime Kansas Citian, raised in the Brookside area. While studying psychology at UMKC, he helped launch a campus ministry called “IMPACT.” There he met and served alongside Michelle, who he married in June of 2010, and is exceedingly thankful for the opportunities to grow and develop as a leader during those years. He has spent time in Guyana (2005), and Ecuador (2007), preaching and helping build a school. Jared also plays drums in a band, “Me Like Bees”; they have been creating music together since April of 2009. He began an internship at Redeemer in August of 2009 and came on staff as an Administrative Assistant in January of 2010. Jared is excited to watch the power of the gospel transform the city for the glory of God.
Molly Miller // children’s ministry coodinator
Molly graduated from Kansas State University in 2006 with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. After graduation she taught preschool for a year, and with the Lord’s guidance, headed off to cosmetology school. In the fall of 2008 she graduated from hair school and is currently working as a part time traveling hair stylist. In October 2008 she was hired on here at Redeemer as the children’s ministry coordinator and considers herself richly blessed to be entrusted with God’s little ones.
Joshua Murray // sexton
Joshua was born in Enid, OK and moved to Salina, KS at age 11. He moved to Kansas City in the fall of 2005 to begin his undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies. Joshua was introduced to the needs of this city while involved in an inner city church called Central Baptist Church that was and is being planted, He assisted them with the renovation of their building on the North East side of Kansas City. In June of 2007 he and Kate were married. Together they led one of the first Gospel Communities that met in the months before the launch of Redeemer. On October 20 of 2009, Joshua and Kate were blessed with a son, Jude. As Sexton at Redeemer Joshua tackles the challenge of caring for and rehabilitating our historic midtown building.
Rachelle Pichardo // community coordinator
Rachelle is a native of Kansas City, where she grew up alongside eight brothers and sisters in the Waldo area. She graduated from Missouri Western State University in May of 2001 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. Shortly after, Rachelle moved to Memphis, TN, where she worked in college ministry for Baptist Collegiate Ministries. During that time, she also started working with refugees (mostly from Africa) and helped mastermind and implement a program to promote their empowerment and education. She moved back to KC in July of 2008 and continued working in education. In June of 2009 Rachelle was hired as the Community Coordinator, and she considers it a privilege to cultivate and develop relationships in our community for the glory of God.
Mindy Rose // administrator
Mindy grew up in the Northland area of Kansas City. She has been a part of Redeemer since its launch in June of 2008 and has loved seeing how the Gospel has transformed lives here, including her own. Mindy is a graduate from Truman State University where she received a degree in political science. She also graduated from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master’s of Divinity. Mindy was hired as our Administrator in March of 2009 and she can’t wait to see how God impacts this city and the world for his glory.
