February & March 2012 Events

Ash Wednesday
On Wednesday, February 22nd we will gather to reflect, pray, and prepare for the season of Lent with Ash Wednesday Services at 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Childcare will be available at the 5:30 pm up to age five. There will not be childcare available at the 7:30 pm service.

Sunday, February 5th
On Sunday, February 5th we will be moving our 5pm service to 1pm for one Sunday only, meaning that we will have services at 9am, 11am, and 1pm. On Sunday, February 12th our typical service times will resume. Click for more info.

Redeemer 101
Redeemer 101 is a short and informative time designed to let you hear from our pastors, staff and core leaders about the values and vision of our church, as well as give you a chance to ask any questions you may have. It will be held in the First Floor Meeting Space at 11am on Sunday, February 5th and Sunday, March 4th. No sign-up is required. Please feel free to leave your children in RedeemerKIDS for this time.

Gospel-Centered Life
On February 1st we began spend nine weeks going through the material titled, “The Gospel-Centered Life” on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm. The primary purpose of this study is to help explain how the gospel applies to everyday life in a way that is accessible to both Christians and non-Christians. We would encourage anyone at our church who has not gone through this material to join us on Wednesday evenings this spring. No sign-up is required, and you can join us at any time.

KCMSD & Urban Core Brown Bag Discussion
In an effort to give our people practical opportunities to engage in the KCMO School District and the urban core, we are holding a brown bag lunch discussion on February 19th with KCMSD representative, Airick Leonard West. Pack a lunch or grab a bite to-go and meet in the First Floor Meeting Space at 1 pm.

Pre-Marital Class
Begining in mid-February we are hosting a seven week group for couples who are engaged or thinking of engagement. This will be on Sunday afternoons from 3-4:30pm. If interested, email Matt at mmarasco@redeemerkansascity.org.

Serve
One of the best ways to get connected at our church is to contribute through serving on one of our ministry teams. At the Connections Desk you will find information on how to serve at Redeemer and in our city. You can sign-up for a ministry team at there, on The City (join the group titled “Serve on a Ministry Team”), or on with this online form.

The City
The City is an online tool designed to help you get involved at Redeemer and connect with other people at our church. Join The City to find a place to serve, learn about upcoming events, and keep up to date with what’s going on in our community. The City is our primary avenue for communication and connection at our church. Signup is available in the Gallery.
